Wellness weeks at Baron Figues are all-inclusive and intentionally unhurried. A group of six to eight — small enough that you’re held, not herded. Daily yoga, spa treatments booked in, long walks through private meadows and woodland, and the kind of nourishing farmhouse cooking that leaves you lighter rather than heavier. No check-list of workouts, no daily weigh-ins — just a genuine reset.
What's included
- Seven unhurried nights in a private en-suite room, windows onto the meadows
- Daily yoga and mindful-movement sessions
- Spa and massage treatments (schedule agreed on arrival)
- All meals — breakfast, lunch, dinner — emphasising whole foods
- All drinks — wine at dinner for those who want it, herbal teas throughout
- Guided countryside walks and gentle outdoor activities
- Use of the pool, gardens, and grounds
- Complimentary transfers from Agen train station
Most of our wellness guests don't need a programme — they need permission to stop. Gascony is the quietest corner of France we know. The pace slows you down whether you planned it or not.

What a wellness week actually looks like
Structured enough to feel held, loose enough to feel like a real holiday. A representative day:
- Morning — Optional yoga before breakfast. Long breakfast on the terrace.
- Late morning — Either a guided walk, spa treatment, pool time, or unstructured rest.
- Lunch — A light, seasonal meal — usually something grown within a few kilometres.
- Afternoon — Meditation or breathwork session (optional), more rest, or a trip to a nearby village.
- Evening — Dinner of whole-food French cooking. Wine for those who want it, herbal teas for those who don’t.
Food philosophy
Wellness here doesn’t mean denial. It means real food, well sourced, thoughtfully cooked — fresh vegetables from Gascony’s exceptional weekly markets, less meat and more plants, proper bread, seasonal fruit, and olive oil from just over the Pyrenees. People routinely report sleeping better by day three and leaving lighter without having tried to.
Who wellness weeks suit
Solo travellers in need of a proper break. Couples wanting a quiet week together without entertaining themselves. Friend groups marking a milestone. Anyone on the edge of burnout who’d rather not use their annual leave pretending to have fun.
We don’t run clinical programmes, cleanses, or anything heavy. It’s a holiday first, wellness second.
Getting here
Quiet is the point of the retreat — and it starts from the door. Agen train station is under an hour from the property and we collect all guests from there at no extra cost, so you can step off the TGV from Paris and into the countryside. Toulouse-Blagnac (TLS) and Bordeaux-Mérignac (BOD) airports are both around 90 minutes by road; transfers from either can be arranged for a small additional fee.
Frequently asked questions
I've never done yoga. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Sessions are gentle and adaptive — beginners are common and welcome. Nothing is compulsory; if a session isn't for you, skip it and use the time however you like.
Are spa treatments included or extra?
A reasonable allowance of treatments is included in the price — typically two to three per guest across the week. Additional treatments are available to book at cost.
Is there alcohol on the menu?
Wine is served at dinner for those who want it, as it's part of how Gascony eats. If you'd rather skip it for the week, we have excellent non-alcoholic options. Nobody is nudged either way.
Can I come if I'm dealing with something difficult — burnout, recovery, grief?
Many of our wellness guests are. We're not therapists, but we can hold a quiet, unpressured space for a week, and many guests find that's exactly what they needed. Please mention anything relevant when booking so we can plan around you.
Do I have to participate in the group activities?
No. Everything except mealtimes is optional. Take the whole week in your room with a book if that's what you need — the nervous system knows what it's doing.
When is the best time of year for a wellness week?
May, June, and September are our favourite months — warm enough for the pool, cool enough for long walks, and the region genuinely quiet. High summer is fine if you like heat; winter is too quiet and we don't normally run weeks then.
